Kimono Craze

“Fashions fade, style is eternal.”
— Yves Saint-Laurent

Nothing maks for a good photo quite like a sunset. This was an outfit I wore for date night with the boy. I am absolutely crazy about the Kimono trend, and I can’t get enough of it. I have probably purchased one-to-many, but hey, they make me happy, and style (first and foremost) should make you happy!

I styled this gorgeous kimono (a gift) with a simple black tank, shift dress. This way the kimono got to be the center of attention. I paired the look with layered necklaces, a hamsa from Baublebar, an agate, and a druzy necklace, and I finished it off with a hippie, art deco Free People bag, and a pair of brown suede heels from Forever21.

Because the outfit itself was largely comprised of black, and punched up with patches of color, I decided to go with an exagerated makeup look. I went with a slight wing for eyeliner, detailed contouring using the Anastasia contour kit, a heavy brow using the Anastasia waterproof brow filler, and a brigh bold lip, a limited edition Marc Jacobs purple.

Don’t be afraid to add color and punch to your makeup, it’s just another fun way to play with your outfit and personalize your style! Change it up, don’t be afraid to go big and bold!

XOXO
