Brunch & Waistcoats

” Personal style is knowing yourself, your lifestyle, your body and finding clothes that become the frame. You become the star.”
— Michael Kors

Sunday’s are the best days. They allow for sleep, for brunch, for playing catch-up, for putting off a Monday. I love weekend style, taking the opportunity to wear whatever I want, something that makes me feel beautiful, that makes me feel fun and ready for adventure!

My Sunday adventure started with brunch at my favorite local spot, Tandem Creperie, where I enjoyed a sweet dose of gluten free goodness, blueberry compote, and of course — chocolate. I wanted an outfit that said summer, and that would let me feel flirty, while remaining breathable for the hot summer and a day spent downtown.

After a deilcious breakfast, it was time for Sunday errands, work, and play. I rocked a few of my favorite trends, and wore my latest obsessions. I love my vintage Louis Vuitton scarf, a gift from my Aunt and uncle, and with the scarf trend on the rise, I knew I had to incorporate it for this post! I tied it onto my top handle bag, giving this accessory a flair of its own.

I’m never one to shy away from color, and orange is one I love. I adore this mock-neck shift dress (now on sale for $19!) it’s comfy, airy, and one hell of a dress! I paired it with another of this season’s heavy hitters, the sleeveless vest/coat. This flowy number is sold out, but similar styles can be found on Forever21.

To finish off this look I added a pair of oversized sunnies (one of my many weaknesses) and a pair of platform heels (hey a 5’1 girl has to get height somewhere). This look had me feeling fierce, while keeping me cool for all of the Sunday activities I had to accomplish.
