“I don’t do fashion. I am fashion.”
— Coco Chanel
This outfit was a summer favorite, filled with fun, flair, and a little edge. That’s one of my favorite things about my wardrobe, taking classic pieces, and putting an edgy spin on them. I love the boyfriend jean, but finding the perfect pair (of jeans in general) can be pretty tricky. These pants are super comfortable, and are form flattering, and allow me to rock this trend to the end. Having a ten inch difference between the waist and hips can cause shopping for pants to be quite a hassel, but ladies, that’s why tailors are god send. I buy clothing to fit my hips, and take them in at the waist, ensuring a perfect fit for my form.
To show a difference between the billowy, loose fit of the jeans, I paired them with a black bralet crop top, it’s soft, chic, and adds in that edge. However, I the outfit wasn’t complete, and still looked a little imbalanced, so I added a boyfriend fit blazer as well. It balances out the amount of skin showing in the stomach region, by ensuring a covering of the arms and legs.
For a bag, I grabbed my favorite foldover, envelope clutch. It’s got a great, moldable structure, a deep color, and fits all my necessary items while looking totally chic. Accesories totally make an outfit, so of course I threw on my favorite pair of cat-eye sunglasses, and an absolutely beautiful, sparkling ear cuff.
The red lip gives this neutral look a pop of color, and ties into my heels (my aboslutel favorite pair of heels). They’re a red, snakeskin, pair of stillettos. The heel is a great way to add more height to the leg, and break up the chunky look of the ankle cuff.
This was my absolute favorite shoot to date. The outfit was so much fun to style, the location was great, and of course my favorite reason, is that we decided to add a special member to the shoot, my favorite furry friend named Cooper! He totally stole the show.
He loved the camera, and totally hammed it up. He’s a natural born star.
I can’t help but share with you a few more of the shots fom this amazing shoot. We changed up the location, and found this amazing wall, the texture of the wall really played up the outfit, and brought out the colors of the outfit.
Poor little Cooper, he was such a trooper, it was about 95 degrees out, but he stuck it out, all for a few treats of course. What a stud.
The items featured in this look were on budget as always. The earcuff and bralet are from Urban Outfitters. The boyfriend jeans are RVCA, and can be found on Lulu’s. The boyfriend blazer is from Forever21, and the heels are from Burshka Croatia!
Similiar Items can be found Here: Earcuff, here’s a look alike bralet, boyfriend jeans of course, my exact boyfriend blazer, and of course, red heels!
Be fierce, own your style, and be proud to be who you are. Fashion is what you make of it, so make it yours.
Love Always,
