“Make it Simple but Significant”
— Don Draper, Mad Men
Simple and significant, that’s what makes an outfit stand out– the balance between well tailored hems, perfectly rolled cuffs, the right piece of jewelry. Sure, some days I’m a minimalist, other days I’m a maximalist, a constant shift between more is more and a desire to streamline my wardrobe into a uniform.
This outfit is composed of simple elements, that each hold their own in terms of visual weight. A striped, off the shoulder dress, interesting sunnies, strappy heels, and statement earrings, accented by my purse of the moment, and paired with a silk kerchief.
I love the off-the-shoulder moment we’re having this summer, and I thought this dress was fun because the sleeves also have a bit of architecture to them, and of course, the dress is striped — We all know how I feel about those.
I’m a huge fan of the statement earring. It spices up the outfit and it draws attention to the face and jaw line. And, when wearing a shoulder bearing top, drawing attention to that lovely face of yours and those killer collar bones is always a win!
While this color of earring has sold out, I’ve linked it in another color, along with another pair of my FAVE earrings, that you’ve deff seen on the blog. Well, that’s a wrap for today! This going to be one of my last super summer post, as fall is rapidly approaching (praise, I hate the heat). I can’t wait to start bringing you all my fall favorites, like comfy sweaters and leather leggings. Shop the whole look below and make sure to leave me comments!
